The construction is complete and we now have pictures to share of the interior of the new Efficiency Units. One of the units has a fireplace and a small dining area while the other two each have a couch in addition to the King Bed.

Construction Complete!
We finished the construction of the new efficiencies in time for Memorial Day weekend to the rave reviews of the first guests.  Landscaping and external painting are still on the “to do” list but the interior is complete. The guests love the private verandas which you can see in this picture. We will have more photos – including interior shots, soon.
Loons on Lake George
Spring is definitely here as the Loons have returned. About 10 have been hanging around the resort – even with all the construction. We even had a bald eagle soaring over today – but we missed the photo op

New Lakefront Efficiencies! Update on construction from a kayaker’s view.
It’s March 11 and we’re already kayaking! Temperatures in the 60’s! Construction is progressing, and as you can see, these new rooms have private verandas at the water’s edge.

Stand Up Paddleboards
We recently purchased two Stand Up Paddleboards for our guests to enjoy. This is in addition to the 8 kayaks we already have for our guests to use at no charge. And, of course, we have rowboats and canoes, too.
New Construction
Demolition of our 3 efficiency units and front deck began after we closed in Oct. Replacing them will be 3 new efficiency rooms with private lakefront verandas and a beautiful new deck overlooking the lake. Pics of construction to follow. Stay tuned.

Crisp Morning on Lake George
The leaves have “popped” and we are now in peak foliage with wonderful colors. The views from Chelka Lodge are breathtaking. Many of our guests are out hiking today enjoying the foliage while others are out kayaking as the lake is incredibly calm today. The mornings are crisp – note the steam on the lake – but the days are comfortable with temperatures in the mid-6os. We have guests today from Germany, Ecuador, Israel, Canada, Alabama, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Quite the cross-section!
